morning, i took out insurance on the ferret with adrian flux in jan premium was 90 quid or 32 quid extra for uk and europe breakdown service called flux rescue ( equity red star )

early 9o,s i was working in the falklands as a civvy and got to go out to onion range with the army and had a go firing a mortar ! we got to actually drop it into the tube also fired a 9mm browning pistol , sa80 remember that seemed to fall apart in my hands! sniper rifle , fired a gpmg that just jammed all the time , and got to throw a grenade ! throw the grenade not the pin! cant imagine any civillian would be that lucky these days !

i think that was a t72 with a jet engine mounted on it quite a beast!

and a tiny smear of washing up liquid on the fittings will help hoses slide on and when clamped up should not affect sealing .:cool2:

i take it you have tried the old trick of putting the new hoses in boiling water to soften them prior to fitting
