  1. welcome to the forum , the more ferrets the merrier! :cool2:
  2. right some info go to ,,ferret -afv.org. site scroll half way down lots of gen, look for cooling system tips as thought bott two hoses have to have rear deck off and rear skid plate the site is well worth a look for other bits and bobs as well!!:cool2:
  3. standing by to be corrected but sure ive read somewhere that bottom hoses can only be got at when rear armour off and poss fan out also looks like you have a servo fitted like mine if u can undo the mounting bolts the flex hoses are quite long and u might be able to lift it out of the way without disconnecting the flex hoses u might have to un bolt oil cooler as well.
  4. what would the world be like if in hindsight it was less confusing! :cool2:
  5. yeh thats what i was wondering cause i saw a ad for ww2 jeep reg 1964 and it made a point of saying that reg was transferable.
  6. is it the practice now for newly registered mv s 1964 to have when v5 comes back it saying non - transferable.?:cool2:

sounds like the way to go!
  10. i think also not only is tube outlet for prv but when coolant cools air is drawn in to prevent a vacuum forming in cooling system. also a swine to change pipe when you have a servo fitted!
  11. so its just a straight tube from l/h hull to prv top of rad.
  12. promise will send off application form sat, :cool2:
  13. is the valve on side of hull open all the time or does pressure open it ?
  14. well the ferret is now road legal and went for the first road drive in it on monday, got some great looks !i guess it was a bit of a shakedown run pulled into a lay-bye after 3 miles for a nose around the beast and found coolant at top of rad ! could not see were it was coming from, so let her cool down, drove it back home, and discovered it was the pipe leading to the pressure relief valve top of rad had come off.propped up the engine deck with 2x4,s and managed to get pipe back on jubilee was a bit of a swine to get to but got there in the end will be out again sat ,sun weather permitting!
