1. Was looking for a ZF Elcat and the site that said it had it, didn't :banghead: did have a stack of Russian military books some on German armour.... just skimming through and this contraption with a 105mm gun appears to be on 2 chassis??
2. going over to Cambridge in a few weeks... now you got me wondering where shuttleworth is in relation to where I am going. Very good boot sale location by Cambridge, but I need a map to figure out the name again, but often had a lot of old 'real stuff' there, tools and even a surplus dealer Ok had to Google Earth it It's at or was at Oakington 52°15'23.51"N 0° 3'16.55"E hoping to waste spend some cash there in a few weeks. Hope it's still ongoing

A Lynx!!! another new one to add to the list of vehicles I did not know existed. The remains of the torpedo had me wondering, with the mini radial engine, i.e. was it allied or Japanese as it looks like it was found on the sea bed. Also wondered if when they detonated the rear stub like this got blown away intact or this was a dud with the rest corroding away. I travel a lot so I will try to keep finding MV's but my next destination is the UK so you guys, 'I think' got that covered already , mind you Granta Park held some secrets.

Went for a trip to Malacca, Malaysia today A Dingo
11. 718 Tailgate, propped there for show as still has to go to panel shop. Original Malaysian Army 716 tailgate :nut: very cheap and nasty
12. This is a common place for rust on Pinz..... I got dirt build up in there after only a few drives so will be installing gasket material behind the lights. Most the body welded back on Tailgate mounts were a pain as the lower bar is a piece of 2x1 RHS. But on the 716 the Malaysian Army have inserted a hunk of solid bar in there to increase weight. So what started as an easy quick cut and slice job took half a day to get it tacked into position....
13. G'Day yeah I can't stand the cold. Last time I was in Victoria though it was stinking hot... a bit of a shock. Yep piccies are always good... welcome... good bunch in here
14. Seen in Malaysia This to me is an odd find.... As far as I know the Malaysian Army recently bought Vamtacs. This dont look like a Vamtac, unless it is a different variant and why it is rigged up in desert colours is again odd but its got Army plates. Possibly a trial
15. You don't want the missus to find out I got, I think pictures of 712 rust if you send me your email address, but worst is those side rails, other areas are under the floor between stiffeners, in the tunnel. Funny enough the 710 and 712 are better protected and many of the Swiss ones went through a major rebuild prior to selling. If Swedish, generally rusty as rust can get. lots of info around on petrol pinz http://real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/viewtopic.php?t=4177&highlight=rust
16. that is an odd one.... reminds me on exercise, a guy kept cracking them and we said what you doing... he said they arent working was quite funny when he saw the mess with nvg's :-D
17. tehy have no chassis. Behind the wooden rails is a box section so if water gets in there you get major rot. Rot is the biggest factor for the damp places in the world. Aircooled engine. Drivetrain parts are expensive so make sure not knocking or banging. The old ones are extremely noisey so thats normal i.e. most people fit tank intercoms so they can talk to the passenger. http://www.shropshiregunbus.co.uk/default.asp have some prices and also Nigel aka Pinzmeister in here has prices as well http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/member.php?5027-pinzmeister. However fairly simple the old ones so If think can, do as I got some of the books for you Pictures would be good as can see what it is or may have been.
18. This 20mm calibre would be good for snakes and traffic :cool2:
19. and now getting into the radical stuff... long projects, too many changes in idea :nut:
20. seeing what fits.... don't fit and some paint
21. yes a bummer....... If you need suppliers scoped out over this way let me know
22. 2 days off work :D So went up the junkyards again..... and shredded both fan belts just as I got there :cry::cry: PITA!! had to rip the seats and engine covers off.... So I think I will go for the rip the bugger apart again plan for the next few months to look for the last bugs. The new exhaust is rattling also.......... :-(:-(:-(
23. I doubt one of these will ever get restored so this may become a rare photo.... At least they have gun racks :cool2: A different set of bargrips. Also something for the little lady to clean the house with.... a big vacuum cleaner
24. Well I thought it would take all day to trim the excess sheet metal back on the rear hoop structure.... I was wrong as all day managed 30% Also have to modify the rear tailgate attachment points, and, etc, etc, etc
