1. Well last weekend was a waste of time with jetlag, flu and half a day of nothing going right. Started today to put the front springs back in but the spring compressor threads failed so had to order another :banghead:. Very nerve wracking anyway as a lot of force in the springs and to have the threads die is not reassuring as how ever way you do it you are in the line of fire if it seriously fails. Got most the front frame in, front bumper and winch back on BUT original front bar dont fit so have to rebuild the P93 one. Felt a bit better today with at least half a day of progress. Long weekend so 3 days to go. Off to see Harry Potter, hopefully learn some magic so the Pinz is in one piece sooner than later
2. yeah parts are cheaper if you say Volvo....... I'll see if I can recognise anything on the engine but I would think it would have to be as merc dont have many inline 6's
3. Check out comment 18 of 52 http://www.news.com.au/technology/wikileaks-offline-after-domain-killed/comments-e6frfro0-1225965338553 :cool2:
4. Unfortunately the little voices in my head are saying the same thing
5. Yeah, 'crude form of de-militarising' a pity as the Malaysian Army paintjob looks fancy AAAAhhhhh I am almost convinced I will buy it :nut::nut::nut::nut: going to get the tape measure out today
6. I wonder if similar to pinz 6 cyl as if so a lot of Volvo parts will fit. The merc engines in Pinz are built by VW are were used in Volvo, VW, Audi and Merc's
7. :-D:rofl:mysteriously Barry is requesting all types of services at the moment and listing the above number as his fax number (must be a honest mistake). Poor barry as most the incomming faxes are from a timezone 8 or so hours ahead. Why he would want to do a fashion design course in Vietnam puzzles me
8. Disregard the second link as to many links to abandonned and wrecked tanks.....
9. hmmm so a matilda 2 and a valentine are better :-D . . . . . . . . Wondering whilst leaving if one has opened an armoured can of worms http://www.mheaust.com.au/Aust/Research/Matilda/Markings%20WW2.htm and a Matilda wreck, but still not upside down http://www.pacificwrecks.com/tank/matilda/buin.html
10. What is the engine / gearbox make i.e. is it something specific or is it used in various other vehicles?
11. As my boss said if they spent half much effort in real work they would be loaded...... should post his number everywhere wanting life insurance, diapers, cialis etc etc and enter his email address into every weird thing you can find
12. Yes I am starting to officially think I am bonkers as the camo one is whispering to me "buy me, buy me for Christmas" :nut:
13. yeah I'd love to be a QA inspector on these contracts. We had clothes with a loose thread and if you pulled it your sleeve would fall off
14. In our case we are a major company and the deal was for services. The majority looked legit, it was just one small clause in the middle of the contract relating to their commission that got me suspicious
15. NCO WISDOM A Lieutenant, a Colonel, and a Sergeant were all killed in a common disaster, and arrived in Heaven together, where they were met by St. Peter. St. Peter asked them, "What would you like the people on Earth to say about you?" The Lieutenant said, "I would like them to say I was a great family man and an inspiration to my children." The Colonel said, "I would like them to say I was a great military leader." The Sergeant said, "I would like them to say, 'Look! He's moving!"
16. Well thank f...... for HMVF! Our company was just negotiating a contract and was in the final stages and I got told about a weird clause that was in the contract in a throw away comment. I told them not to proceed further, no-one believed me and I returned and found this thread and the link above and sent it upwards. I still have disbelievers as the amount of effort they put in, to research our services, products etc was very elaborate and the cash back bit was hidden in the fine print of the contract. It never set of alarm bell as it is common for agent or middlemen to want a comission it was the way it was worded that had me thinking the scam. So be aware of the fine print. I'll let you know if I get any updates or a pint from the directors
17. very nice.... nothing wrong with Poland I need to get an excuse for business to fly me back there
18. Seeing we are off topic and Australia has been called in I knew it also had something to do with the word pomegranate but it is not definitive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pommy#Pommy but it was also "A derogatory term, it was controversially ruled no longer offensive in 2006 by the Australian Advertising Standards Board and in 2010 by the New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority." Anyway Robin, back on topic, very nice picture you have highlighted , always good to see true public servants at work, being an ex grunt and all
19. well another trip to the junkyards nothing really exciting, but some people like dump trucks . Nice paint anyway
20. Extremely disappointed, very upset  Having read a lot of posts here I thought it was general policy that all screwups, misdeeds, mechanical failure, vehicular breakdowns, electrical hazards etc etc were all Jack's fault? It would get awfully confusing if we can't use standard terminolgy like "Jack did it!", "Jack touched it!", "Last time I seen it Jack had it!", "it's been Jacked!", etc, etc :D
21. I guess I asked, as always liked 101's, especially a GS. Wanted to buy one before and got a Lightweight My thoughts were you can sleep in the back if at a show or on a trip Can't get them over here and it was blind luck on stumbling accross a Pinz which is really about the size of a 101 I think possibly the cheapest Pinz that I sent to UK went for 15k mind you that was a diesel (I have to say I dont sell them, it just gives me an excuse to visit the salvage yards here often to translate). The petrol ones are cheaper but are marginally more complicated than a 101 and I guess most parts, apart from diffs are fairly easy. I think before you could not get replacement chassis for 101's like all the other ones, has this changed? Anyway best of luck, if you get a 101 I'll email the books over
22. Curious, why a 101? I do like them also but they have their quirks, what type of price range you looking at for a good one?
