I am glad they have some use. If I find something specific to someones rebuild I send them to the guys if possible. Nice book on Canadian tank building during ww2 also a lot of tactics books from ww2. Newer stuff are items like operators manual for a Chinook and NATO field surgery (depends what I use in the search engine). The interogation manual was 10.2 Mb so I could not post here so in summary to find out what your spouse got you for Christmas "you should build rapport with them, if that dont work ascertain their breaking point" :cool2:
9. Nearly finished, at the repainting stage, next rebuild But a coat of paint makes a big difference
10. There was another set of UK submarine blueprints in there but these are nice. Just rushing, or slothing out the door for work. The he other one is HMS Tabard
11. Now I heard them mntioned once I have to admit.... will have to look wikipedia now
12. Something else that came through the download site and I thought before I go to bed you may like this as finally something from UK

By astral are we talking sun compass or stars also? c. Star Method. (1) Less than 60 of approximately 5,000 stars visible to the eye are used by navigators. The stars seen as we look up at the sky at night are not evenly scattered across the whole sky. Instead they are in groups called constellations.

I got around a 1000 so mainly digging through the WW2 stuff some are a bit big.... some are of dubious posting as some newer manuals like for Willys and weapons blueprints from ww2 (I doubt copyright but doubt appropriate) but most the mil docs are marked ok for public release even interregation techniques so if you want to know what your spouse got you for Christmas I can send the book

16. i thought my computer broken again then i saw Santa!
17. Ok what is a JS? You guys are going to blow my brain with new vehicles I never saw in Commando comics!!! We've had floating tanks that sunk, fire trucks built on armoured car chassis, Karrier (I was sure the guy spelt that wrong when I saw the first post), German rolling ball things; Lightweight etc etc.
18. yeah Jack said I have to look for MV stuff for him on my trips as I travel all over the place. He said he would send a bankdraft with extra cash and the rest if I could deposit back into Barry Williams account in Nigeria . In Japan I will be on the bases but this park sounds good to me as want to get more MV photos as always good to test the HMVF guys MV identification skills
19. my guy was born and lives there and I already said if asked Steveo wanted the pictures (I have other treats for you hopefully before Christmas) but I will warn him as had too many beers with him and I think it's his shout next time. Also Pinz there in Scrap yards :cool2:
20. I just found out a mate of mine is staying in Pakistan Will see if I can coerce him into getting there as he's pliable (will require I send copiuos amounts of politically incorrect material in exchange)
21. My parent company is located at abington hall which has space, 5 mins from Duxford, catering and a bar. Is it worth suggesting doing something there, MV related in 2011 or is the calender full? Apparently there used to be vintage shows there ages ago, also if could be done in conjunction with tours of the facility as it is a welding research establishment it may be of interest to some others??
22. Bus to Heathrow....... that should equal several pints Pity it wasn't a taxi....... that would equal getting absolutly plastered, fall over in the gutter type night
23. I forgot the 2.25 was on the side, yes my mistake. I wonder how many engines were petrol and 'simply' modified to diesel as the 2.25 diesel was not that spectacular.
24. yeah bought one of these albums, hopefully another 2 by end of week picked it up because I spotted Japanese tanks in a piccy Going to Japan in the new year may have to look for boot sales whilst I am there
