  1. no you could not use that road you would be to wide it. mirrors dont come into it its the max width of the body you some times get except for access if you were stopped you would have to prove why you were on this road
  2. first batch off light weights we had which were fg reg were fitted 650x16 bar grips trailers had 600x16 the dm el reg swb some had bar grips from new some came with firestones some with goodyears and some with dunlops but all were 650x16 we used to take the spareswheels off the long wheel base l/r to the five star rally as they had 750x16 gave a bit more ground clearance

  5. landrover ffr with hard tops range wardern at lulworth had a hard top and i have seen hard top signal troops as ex para i did not see any with paras but blandford signals had some and RA regiments had hard tops
  6. haveing had a c303 h/top weapons carrier a 306 they our brillant to own parts easy to get but body parts our so easy to find now just sold a hard top in a1 condition gone back to swedern where i got from, My other two came from a certain dealer of the a1 about six years ago

  8. my troubles with my mj were vosa wanted to use the miltary plate swansea wanted the bedford s build plate i had a vist from police to check veh then asked why it had two plates in the end the bedford plate was used not the miltary one all was find for three years took it for mot not on the computer went out with guy and said its not that plate number . you use the other one not happy manager comes out as i wont move it after a bit of a stand of checked the other number and up it pops one mot next year i was met with i remember you he checked the number then a big smile i had put a smiley face by one plate and a grumpy one by the other :cheesy::mad::cry: thet dont like what does not fit there every day type and its funny how one test station can be so helpfull and a nother not

  14. i have a discovery ex miltary plate inside shoes mil no my other one is ex miltary but from the white fleet civy no but ex raf the mod run lots of civvy motors but when sold our ex mod i think the problern was it brought for show use or not

  16. have plated three so far at lancing test station no under run bars fitted all three had problerns with brake readings had to tie load valve up and head light adjustments
  17. great show weather perfect thanks to team who put on first prize must go to the ferret driver who parked a ferret on its side lucky no body was badly hurt
  18. just drop some more vehicles of w,p yes still muddy but for the people there there is that dunkirk attitude cannot change the weather so lets get on with it you will get muddy and wet but you still will have a good time but if you dont like those conditions i would stay away but for the rest the staff our working very hard to make it work talk to them they dont bite except mr dunlop but his heart is in the right place
  19. i was there when you got stuck it was too muddy to cross moxtons at the time thats why i brought the morris and 17pdr in the exit route hard all the way till you turn right or left into the field
  20. have been back again droping of move vehicles, drying out in places if people use the brains and dont take cars and vans in in the muddy bits then get stuck and churn it up evern more ,theres a lot of people who will help tranport your kit with 4x4 its war and peace its all about mud dust and sun most of us go to meet and take the mickey out of each other relax and enjoy and yes we put the world to right there our lots of other hobbys you can take up ,,if you dont like dont go for the rest we will have a great time come what may the photos of the morris and 17pdr i drove thursday to where it parked in two wheel drive as four wheel drive not working we put a landrover on the front as not to churn the ground up and as the photos show its not churn up just needs thought

  22. ive just got back from the wp show delivering other peoples vehicles my transporter is only two wheel drive and towing a trailer it did not get stuck no i did not take it of the main tracks yes its muddy i walked the route before driving it, this war and peace show you iver get sun burn and dust or mud if you dont like mud dont go for the rest have a great week
