  7. My father has a ww2 dog tag from an american soldier(will take a picture next time im round there) it was found on Blackpool beach!!!!
  8. Would anyone out there have any parts i might be interested in that will help towards finishing our Munga? (radiator,seat frames,cushions, (munga 4),roof (tatty ok as long as can be used for pattern),gauges (fuel esp)hub caps (4) What have you got? please get in touch , would be able to pick up at the Malvern show in november .   9. The existing two seats have been stripped of all their remaining bits of fabric , and look ok for blasting.Need two more frames, and cushions for all four seats.(bad examples would be ok as long as we can take a pattern off them and use the insides .The bases and backs are the same .:coffee: )

  12. Can anybody tell me what Laurel and Hardy are doing here in a Jeep? Was it something to do with war bonds, etc ? The pic i believe was taken on the 29th April 1942 .

We bought our first vehicle (Dodge weapons carrier ) off Pete Gray in 1980, He drove it up from worthing to blackpool for the price of his dinner.Then a Dingo costing£800 and needing no real restoration in 1983(sold few years later to a dutch guy £6000. Bantam trailer new years eve 1983 £120. Finally Willys Jeep with a garage full of spares.(engine,diffs,axles,mechanical stuff!)£500! Would not like to start collecting today .Silly money now!
  16. some of the Airline series was filmed here at Blackpool, we helped push one of the Dakotas out of a hanger once , A good friend lent his Tilly for the series after he had restored it , they filled it with rock salt!!

Due to the Munga being sat outside for a few years , various bits are rusty.Number plate lights being one item, after looking on german e bay (wrote to the e bayer in english then translated to german via Google!) , i found some , they came today sealed in plastic bags from new with a little wiring diagram dated 18th November 1971! . (Andy will try and get some more when funds allow, csa on my back again !! :argh:)

  19. Not sure mate ,not much said about the pics .The other side where they are crossing is rocky so would have been interesting to watch the cars trying to get off .
  20. The bit of lake they are going over is so small , seems pointless . Cheers
