dogtags
I was recently made aware of an auction of a fire pump trailer. After a bit of internet research, I believe it to be a Coventry Climax FSM trailer pump. Would you agree? How hard are ignition parts (as that's what appears to be missing) to find? It's located in the United States, so it must have had a very interesting life! ~Robert
Tony B
Yes, it is a Cliamx pump. There are a number of versions depending on how many Gallons Per Minute they pump. The ignition is a magneto. The only spares I know are over here.
andypugh
I think I found an example of the same engine in my dad's barn. It's not in great shape (the intake manifold is broken, and rain water has got in). But it does have a magneto. https://photos.app.goo.gl/UcZs82fYBV38M9MRA

dogtags
Thanks for the positive ID. What would something like this be worth? I understand prices over there do not necessarily reflect prices over here, but it would be nice to have a rough estimate. ~Robert

I would have expected more? Were these used throughout London during the Blitz? http://www.silverstoneauctions.com/1938-coventry-climax-fsm-type-series-2-fire-trailer Edited October 7, 2018 by draganm
