I know this 'Seller' & have 'Dealt' with him in the past. I will only add that I wouldnt even buy a Bent Nail from him ever again!
CVRTNick
Hi, My question is what doe’s an FN MAG need with a ground spike?
ferretfixer
Hi, My question is what doe’s an FN MAG need with a ground spike? So the Belgiens can have something extra to make money from by selling to 'End Users'! I would guess that being mounted on this spike in soft ground. You would get the small extra benifit of quick & easy traverse firing. It would be used on the Bipod normally, but this gives limited traverse arcs of fire. in this mode you would have to left the whole gun up & move it left or right to get extra arcs in different areas. with the spike, you can swing left & right & cover a bigger area quickly. Of questionalble value in the field really, somthing extra to cart around, or lose!! :-\
CVRTNick
Re (something extra to cart around, or lose!!) quite, thank god their seems to be no G.P.M.G. equivalent as it seems a bright idea in a dry,lit armory/lab but at 3am,on a wet night in the field you think why? Chris Hall
The only real use I can see for it is in a trench situation where you can stand in a trench and mount the spike on the parapet. Downside, you dont get much de-elevation (if thats a word).
