T-34 any varient?

rusting already

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Sorry about doubling up threads, I hope it’s not a pain.

I'm looking for a T-34 and interested to hear of any variants that might be around.

Does anyone know of any for sale or of someone who may want to sell one?

Doesn't need to be a runner.

I know many were used for corporate use and then were left when they broke down, have they all been scrapped?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

Thanks, I've seen those threads over the past few weeks, I have also been in contact with PA KO and others over that time but all the T-34's are now sold, apparently going to museums. The Amazing Polish Prices thread is interesting but I was predominantly seeing if anyone knew of anything in the UK sitting in a field or otherwise etc. An eastern block vehicle could be a possibility with help from a dealer but I was going to check more locally first.

Cheers, Thanks,

Alex

Thanks Eddy, I rang him in about December too and he thought about 30-35K for the 85 and the VT. The problem is the prices have gone up there too. I'll give him another call at some point and see if anything’s changed. I would also like to find out about the SU-85 or 100, does anyone know of any around?

Thanks all,

Alex

A.F. Budge (contractors) Ltd which built roads etc and laterly got into Design and Build for commercial and public buildings, being interested in military vehicles (many contractor vehicle were initally ex forces vehicles) mr budge developed a collection of less contractor based military vehicles (sometimes called Tanks) which final developed into A.F. Budge (military) Ltd which at one stage even got into biding for contracts to re-engine army vehicles with Alvis Ltd.

So far so good, happy yearly open day events where both restored and unrestored vehicles were shown and sales of everything from de-ac small arms to IS3 stalin tanks, then about 1990 things went bad the various Budge Ltds were broken up and sold off, it was all extremely complex and would require an accountancy or law degree to get round all the ramifications.

The Upshot was, the tanks were sold off mainly to the Americans and Robert Fleming who was a major mover and shaker in the AFB (military) set up a company called Robert Fleming Associates and continued to source and import/export various military vehicles notably quite a few ex Yugoslavian AFVs. But I don't know if RFA is now defunct.

Thanks, great to see those pictures, nice to see these vehicles grouped together. I wonder how many are still around and running. I like the Russian stuff of that era because it is good old 'simple' engineering, much like some allied stuff I imagine, just rod linkages and levers etc, built for the peasant, which suits me perfectly...

I will try and post a picture of one on the up.
