A34 Comet mk1 model B

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We recently have a new project in our workshop. Were are quite enthausiast about this one. It is one of the Ex Finish army Comets. On the Hull is the number Ps.252-33. On the turret (both sides) there is a registration number T335817. It has the 'B' type hull (A34 Comet Mk 1 Model B).

It’s in good condition and we want to have it up and running in June 2014. During this year we want to bring it to The Normandy Beaches. So fingers crossed

Does anyone know some history of this Comet referring to the registration number?

Engine room is completely stripped, possible due to that the finish used the Comet later as some kind of bunker there is also some kind of storage construted the engine room and you can acces the turret through the engine room

Engine is an take out of an centurion, we heard that it would fit in a Comet when the sump is changed?

So most of the parts are there, not all like an (L or R) fuel tank and oil tank and some bits for the engine etc.
