It is one of the Ex Finish army Comets. On the Hull is the number Ps.252-33. On the turret (both sides) there is a registration number T335817. It has the 'B' type hull (A34 Comet Mk 1 Model B). It’s in good condition and we want to have it up and running in June 2014. During this year we want to bring it to The Normandy Beaches. So fingers crossed Does anyone know some history of this Comet referring to the registration number? Adrian Barrell Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 The 92nd Comet built to contract 8/M/10530 for 350 Comets placed with Fowler. Built in early to mid 1945 I would imagine. But could find on inside the turret stamped in the armour plate the date 1945 but no month indication. Inside turret Drivers position Engine room is completely stripped, possible due to that the finish used the Comet later as some kind of bunker there is also some kind of storage construted the engine room and you can acces the turret through the engine room Transmission Radiators, we also have the fans but don't have a picture Engine is an take out of an centurion, we heard that it would fit in a Comet when the sump is changed?
