Hi to you all,

Been into Jeeps for 38 years since I was 16, purchaced my first one from a chap called Geoff Groom for £130.00, and then the story go'es on.

I have at present a June 1942 Script Willys MB in "Mint" condition, a 1945 Ford GPW in nice nick, two Hotchkiss M201's which are very nice every day user's and a March 1942 Script Ford GPW in bits, so I am looking for all the imposiable bit's and bob's, like a set of springs as I don't want to fit new one's, a set of good Hotchkiss would do at present, any offers ?

I run my own business in Surrey, just off J8 M25, and we service and repair L/Rovers and also supply 4x4 and Hi-Performance tyres, been going for 34 years, married with expensive wife and kids etc.

To many hobbies to list and not enough time for all of them, you know what I mean, just like thinly spread jam.

AWDC member since almost time began, used to do a lot of off-road racing and won the 1989 British off-road Championship and then went racing in France.

My 15 year old son has just started building a 90 Defender from scratch on a new chassis but things have slowed up a little as we need a late'ish TD5 bulkhead compleate.

Looking foward to my time on this Forum.

Andy Sargeant.

Here's one you may remember Andy, had a Rover V8 in it, the front axle kept knocking the filter off so he (sorry name escapes me, it's not Batman, even if the passenger is obviously Robin) just wiped the sand off it on his jeans and screwed it bock on! As you say those were the days.........
