This website is worth a look. Type in some of your local villages or towns in the searchbar and see what comes up. Ive found 3 bombers which came down in local fields just 10 minutes drive away, a good excuse for fieldwalking I think.

I found out a bunch of Lockheed Ventura´s fell out of the sky around my home town during Operation Ramrod 16. Must have looked like ducks during the hunting season!
