Rlangham Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Here's my photos from today - no apologies for WW1 biased! Nice to see some familiar faces again, and many thanks to Kev for letting me help push the Triplane and 'Biff' back in the hangar - made my day! Mmmm.... isn't she lovely [ Quote
Rlangham Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 Unfortunately not, she taxis around instead. Great to see and hear her under her own power though, i'd love to see her fly one day (and the Edwardian machines, every visit has been too windy for them) Quote
Jessie The Jeep Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I saw the Comet fly back in 1988 before 'Altitude' George bent it. I'll have to dig out a picture as I know I have one or two somewhere. I think they consider the runway too short and lumpy to risk it again. Steve Quote
Tony B Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I think it was this one was at BA Cranebank back in the early seventies. The Aprentices were rebuilding it, mind you inthose days BA cared about how they maintained the aircraft. Good old fashioned apprentice ship. Quote
Jessie The Jeep Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Here's one of the Comet at North Weald in 1988, a little grainy, scanned from an old 35mm print. Steve Quote
