I would guess Blackpool Sands ( no not that Blackpool!!) the one near Slapton. It was also used by US forces for D-Day training. (I think you can just make out the start of Slapton Sands in the distance.

Jack wont be home until late, maybe even tomorrow (or day after if he has run out of fuel). But anyway, I think it is the next beach along to Slapton Sands which if i remember correctly was indeed Blackpool Sands.

Here is a recent (but small) pic of Blackpool sands.
