antarmike
This very early Mat still had Hydraulic brakes until its welsh owners rolled it down a hillside, but smashing the end of the Servo, loosing brakes, and the cab didn,t put it of the road. They used it for a few more years with just a handbrake. I scrapped this one for spares.

antarmike
The pilot of this 707 came in far too late down the runway at Heathrow, the controllers told him to abort but he ignored them and put it down, overshooting the runway he was headed for the road just outside the perimeter. seeing a disaster he raised the undercarraige to drop it onto it's belly and slow it. Two Ex Raf 6x6 Matador coles cranes are amongst the vehicles steadying the aircraft as it is airbagged up for recovery.
