fv1609
Yes Clive, I have noticed you launch new ones when you think I am working ;-) I was just trying give the younger ones a chance before you got in from work. Is it an OP on a tower as used in N. Ireland? You're certainly in the right area.
fv1609
Access point for underground bunker or MEXE hide?? Plausible but nope. Maybe this helps put it into context. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/App0712b.jpg[/img]
Richard Farrant
Plausible but nope. Maybe this helps put it into context. That looks like a wire cutter to the left, so think this is the top of a patrol vehicle in NI. Most Land Rovers that I clad had hinged lids in the roof, but I think some vehicles had a roof over, to stop things being thrown inside and keep rain out. Getting warm, but there's no wire cutter or Land Rover

Richard Farrant
Is it an Observation point mounted on the roof of a Saracen, over the rear roof hatch?
fv1609
Is it an Observation point mounted on the roof of a Saracen, over the rear roof hatch? Yes absolutely right, I knew I could rely on you. Coming in for the kill with such an accurate answer. Makes wonder if you knew all along & just being a good sport so that it wasn't over too quickly? :yay: :yay: :yay: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/App0712.jpg[/img] Incidentally it was parked next to the Saracen with armoured observation turret we saw a bit earlier. This table like OP did have a certain resemblance to the previous object, which inspired the angle of shot for the bathroom stool on Land Rover. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/DSCF6824.jpg[/img]
