Poptopshed
Anyone got any idea what this is and what it was used for? My boss has bought it for his son to play with. There is a plate on the side of the controls that says its Helicopter portable but the rest is covered in paint. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00055-1.jpg[/img] http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00056-1.jpg[/img] http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00057-1.jpg[/img] Cheers

It wasn't intended to travel very far, just to travel from the helicopter to the IED & carry the EOD equipment. Weighed 390kg could carry a load of 410kg. Driven by a 28hp Citroen petrol engine, chain driven to provide 4x4.
Tony B
Have any of the little turner buggies that the Navy were using as aircraft tugs on carriers come up? These are the same sort of thing small sized run abouts. love to have something similar.

Clive, In design principle, it looks like the Mk1 Supacat, which was lousy on hard surfaces. They used Citroen engine and transmission, chain drives and the steering was by braking the drives shafts. On tarmac / concrete, it would only want to go straight. Richard
