Kayliegh
No one on this group have mentioned the tail number? All B-17s have tail number and group number. So if this unknown A/c crashed without a crew why no tail number mentioned in the report. If it was it would had solved the mystery straight away as both A/c landed with their tail section in one piece. Also for the record I found out this afternoon in the American library that Bovingdon was where 42-3347 came to stop low on fuel. I have documents coming from the American Air and Science Museum by snail mail as they are not synchronised on reel. Once I know I’ll respond. But all A/C made by Boeing had tail numbers so what excuse if any why wasn’t this written? all planes would also have on tail sectors below either white or body Color of A/C.
