Maplin stores have 12 volt solar battery chargers, for 9.99 each. This is half price, and a very good price. I have used these to keep batteries topped up, and these work really well. Tony B Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I have had a Raytheon one for years bought at a caravan shop. I keep it on the 101. Won't charge a flat battery but keeps the battery ticking over nicley. Seems to work even in overcast conditions, never actaully measured output, I'll give a go when I get a chance. It really don't care, as long as the battery is connected the right way round. Theres no off switch, just a likkkle light flashing when its charging. honestley for about £25 they are good kit.
