wally dugan
Sadly a lot of items have suffered from neglect from the damp air and lack of proper attention
Rootes75
You would really need to inspect any items before making bids as you simply cannot judge condition from the photos on thecauction site.
Surveyor
Its online only, i expressed interest in one made a bid then they reset all counters to zero when they made it online only, I know there is a thread on here regarding the railway coach
johann morris
40% on top of the selling price is a bit steep but still, some interesting items under the hammer.

Bob Grundy
I went to view yesterday, all items pretty grim. I worked if you spent £1000 then there would be an additional £380. I will not bother at all,

Rootes75
I wonder if it will end up going for scrap? Would be a shame if it did.

wally dugan
I wonder how much money was left in the blackburn beverley fund that was raised for the maintenance of the aircraft that went with the plane
Surveyor
Wonder if they also went for the parts and film, they went for a good price, was watching to see what the market was like, glad to see the Railway carriage went for a good price, means saved, some prices were interesting and wonder who was wanting them
Rootes75
We were mainly interested in manuals, there were so many lots of books etc. Hundreds and hundreds of manuals, I wonder if most lots were bought up by dealers?
wally dugan
those manuals all came out of the museum at beverley were they were inspected by the PRO annually as part of the conditions. the storage in the archives was monitored for humidity daily. To see what had happened to them makes me feel sick why did l and other's both to save them in the first place some were mint and rare. The vehicles that spent there time in dry storage taken out and placed in the open for years to ever call FORT PAULL a museum is a insult to those who tried to save these things in the first place. What will l do with my collection well l would sooner burn the lot what is the point of saving them in the hope that they would be available to every one not a select few Who do l blame for this state of affairs the NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM in the first place the MOD and all of us for letting it happen For me l could not bring myself to go to the viewing or bid Edited September 20, 2020 by wally dugan miss spelling
Surveyor
Have to be honest, I bid on one item, wasn't described correctly and got it for a lot less than I thought it would go for, picking it up this week Edited September 20, 2020 by Surveyor
