WS19 Variometer mounting plate

I have a mounting plate, removed from a WS19 variometer, that is surplus to requirements should anybody want it. The plate is flat, 6 1/2 x 4 inches, and it is stamped with the No. FV55646.

The FV no. and the fact it is painted silver suggest to me that it is a mounting adaptor plate for a post war armoured vehicle.
