reception set R103

Hello,

 

I'm looking for info on the correct antenna and base to go with the R103 reception set in a staff car. Also looking for the steel case.

Is the set one of these?  If so, is the metal case you want the case shown here, or a carrier?

If its the R103/103A as oppossed to the R103(CDN) then I'm after the same infomation, if I find anythig I'll let you know. I intend to go and see Ben Knock at some point to measure up the case as my set has had it replaced at some point by a decidely home made affair, if he has any further info I'll let you know.

OK; sorry, I cannot help you with that.  The set I have I would part with, but no use to you.  If you get stuck, you could always put together an aerial using one of those old microphone connectors and an old style car aerial, suitably modded (car boot sales are great places to find such bits) and likely the carrier will be a simple thing to fabricate?
