martylee
This weekend the annual meeting was held at Hoytorp Fort. This fort was built between 1912-18 to defend Norway from intruders from the east. (Sweden) As far as I know theres 1100 metres of tunnels. The fort once had 17 guns. And it took part in defending against the germans in 1940. As I had very little time to spend there I missed the tour, so I don't know very much what the different things are. I was however able to sneak across the bridge to get a good overview. Since I only spent only 90 mins at the fort, I'm sure I've missed a lot of things and good company. I had to drive 3 hours to get there and another 3 hours to get home, so that's my excuses for photos taken in a hurry and missing a few nice vehicles. Like the visiting swedish DUKW. Here's some of the vehicles. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2016.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2014.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2017.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2020.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2023.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2021.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2024.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2029.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2030.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2031.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2058.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2062.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2060.jpg[/img] http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/martylee74/IMG_2059.jpg[/img] Marty

martylee
Hopefully I'll be able to follow up with the neighbour fort this weekend, which is named Trogstad. This is smaller, but have had a Nike battery installed. Just have to see if I can borrow a car since my Chevy isn't running. And I think it's to much time consuming to travel with the Dodge. A warning though... I have a new memory card for the camera!!! :-o :-o :-o Marty
