Take off for the last time. One minute it was in my view finder then it was gone. I was amazed at how it took off in such a short distance but it was pretty much empty.

We were left in a cloud of dust and grit and the prop blast was flipping powerful - can now see why the airborne had lost a lot of gear once they hit the prop blast when they jumped into Normandy.

EDIT: Liking the haircut Jess!

Keep an eye on this one Lee - you might be getting an unpleasant suprise in the future!!

WOW Jack!!!!!

What did we miss those that did not go, I hope that next year will be repeated as I for one will make every effort to get down there.

Nice one mate and congrats to all those who made it happen.

Thanks Mike!

It was a fantastic show and yes you will have to get down there next year - not saying to much at this point but I think that it is safe to say that there wouldn't of been a show like it before in the UK ;-)

Not saying that there will be a C47 there - just not saying how many...... ;-)

Brings back many happy memories of flying in Daks in the sixties, the wings used to flap like a demented seagull but used to get a much more comfortable flight than in modern jets, much better seats and loads of leg room.
