Ian L
I need a new N.O.S. voltage regulator or modern equivalent / repair for my Austin K5. Type listed is CAV 75BT-19X & B2-CZ15 in the manual but these might be one of the same ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Hi Ian, This is the same one as used on most Bedfords. Chris Morter does a reconditioned unit which looks original on the outside but has modern internals. Price is around £100 on an exchange basis. I would avoid N.O.S. items as I understand they can deteriorate in storage - at least with a recon unit you get a guarantee. Kind regards, Mike S. Lauren Child
These have been turning up on ebay quite regularly, it's worth keeping an eye out, though as Mike says it could have degenerated. I know an alternative is fitted to the WOT2 at the Shuttleworth collection. If you get stuck it may be worth a visit.

Thanks Mike I will give Chris a call tomorrow, I was hoping that there was a modern replacement as I was aware that N.O.S. units deteriorate.
