jim fl4
Hi, Since I'm not legal yet to go on the road I have been wondering what the engine braking,(or lack of) you get from a ferret. I Ask only because I know with other torque converter set ups that engine braking is poor....and I live in a hilly area Cheers Jim

Also the transmission has a lot of drag so as soon as you back off the throttle you will notice.
jim fl4
Thanks Richard, sounds a bit like an old series Landy then....loads of transmission drag . Cheers Jim
Starfire
I've found the engine braking to be reasonable. On anything but the steepest hills, sitting in 4th with just a touch of throttle has it keep a constant 50kph without the need for brakes.
