Chris Suslowicz
you know they're hard core when the workshop is an old tent ! And when they manage to make it rain in Australia. Very nice that they managed to find one that saw action in WW2 _and_ a member of the original crew!

Richard Farrant
They would not have got this far without the knowledge and assistance from the local Matilda guru, Matt McMahon. I note he did not get a mention in their story.
Bob Grundy
They would not have got this far without the knowledge and assistance from the local Matilda guru, Matt McMahon. I note he did not get a mention in their story. Twas ever thus. My pals Colin and Peter who did an awful lot of work on Rick Wedlocks Cromwell restoration and were not mentioned in the feature in Classic Military Vehicles. To be blunt it would not have been completed without them.
Lauren Child
The media don't always report these things as we'd do as enthusiasts. On other stories and films, I've seen a lot of footage shot at Duxford but not used - ultimately it's up to the media folks to make an interesting story of it for a broader section of society. As that story went I thought it shone a good light on a bunch of enthusiasts doing what we do. eddy8men
it's a shame they didn't get a mention in CMV as they both pretty much rebuilt the tank
lssah2025
Hard core working in a tent doesn't compare to someone working in a made up shop with leftover walls and roof and newly poured concrete floor in the middle of the U.K.
eddy8men
lol we still haven't finished pouring the last bit of concrete
Enigma
OK, not a tank but... Try stripping and painting a Dodge outside during a heatwave. Painting outside and in a small shed with only a electrical heater in the winter ...

Richard Farrant
Another one "Down Under"https://www.facebook.com/BATRACInternational/?fref=photo A good friend of mine in those photos. That place is fascinating, they were working on an engine for another Matilda tank when I visited a couple of years ago.
