FEC Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Help My late father sailed these LCTs to Singapore in 1944. I have attempted to locate information about the vessels listed in his service record but draw a blank. I was of the belief that a vessel with HMS status would appear in the RN listings, but no. Can any one point me in a direction that could have me access the service history of these vessels? Quote
Great War truck Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The book ships without names has a brief history of each vessel. Which ones was he on? Quote
FEC Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Hi thanks for responding. He is listed on a number of LCTs 1332, 1054, 1056, 1146 and 1057. Returning to Copra from Singapore March 1946. Regards Colin Quote
hippotastic Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 more news on LCT 7074 http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-34380424 What a great video of her being raised. If only more projects like this were undertaken. Good news she is being saved at last. Quote
Great War truck Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Sorry. The book Ships without names gives the history of LST's not LCT's. Quote
