Great War truck
Does anybody have a photo of a replica European SAS Jeep which I might use. I don't need the LRDG type, but one with the two bullet proof glass windscreens as used by the Belgian SAS during WW2. I have been volunteered to write a brief article for a country house about the Belgian SAS who trained in their grounds during the war. Many thanks Tim
11th Armoured
I took a couple of photos of one at the Victory Show a few years ago: SAS jeep
David B.
Tim, I'll lend you a book " Fire from the Forest " which covers the SAS Brigade activities in France 1944. There are some mentions of Belgian involvement. I'll bring it a week Thursday unless you are passing. David.

simon king
At our crank-up at Thoresby Hall this year I was chatting with an elderly gentleman with a slight foreign accent who was interested in the jeeps we had brought. During our conversation it transpired he was a member of the Belgian SAS who had fought in the armoured jeeps. He had stayed in this country after the war. It's often surprising the unexpected people you meet when you display vehicles to the public. Sadly I didn't take any contact details. Lauren Child
Is the photo with the rectangular armoured glass actually free-french or did the belgians use the same recognition symbol? (the cross with two bars)
