I would be grateful for forum members advice. I live in Hampshire and am in the initial planning stages of a restoration of a post-war military truck and would be interested to receive any recommendations of restorers that are fairly locally-based.
Also, while I have my own ideas on this, are any forum members willing to share their experiences of working with restorers, i.e. what should I be looking for in terms of agreeing the scope of the restoration, any cautionary advice or pitfalls to avoid?
On a completely separate note, does anybody have recommendations of reasonably priced haulage / transport companies that can move such a truck (weight = about three tonnes) ? I presume that it would work out cheapest to have the vehicle moved as a backload?
Please feel free to point me to any other posts that might have covered these aspects already.
