Mark Pearson
Steel manufacturers only do 6mm and 8mm sheet steel, why not 7mm as this is what I need for my resto project on my carrier ? What is everyone else using on carriers ???? :-(
Mark Pearson
Side armor is 7mm thickness which is now a problem patching.........
Toner
Side armor is 7mm thickness which is now a problem patching......... I see what you mean. Doing a search in imperial and metric show the same thing. ;( Silly question, would you be able to use either 6mm or 8mm and 'blend it in' or use 4mm with 3 mm to build it up? Mark Pearson
I also have side armor I need for this carrier also. I do have another hull, and I think im going to cut that one up, as its 7mm thickness, and will do for patching up the other two. Just wondering why they don't do 7mm anymore ? shame... GeePig
I suppose once enough people stopped ordering it, they stopped making it, especially if it is a special purpose steel. trevor
