Charawacky
Beamish was a great event. I have never been to an event where the public mixes with the vehicles when in use, with miles of road dedicated to movement of historic machinery there is little congestion even with the public attending numbering over 16,000. The scale of the site allows total freedom of exhibit movement which would not be possible at any other event, this permits road scenes with solid tyred vehicles which is usually impractical on public roads. The whole site has a positive feel to it, with record annual visitor numbers and income the site it is going from strength to strength, continually reinvesting. Too much to see in 2 days. Videos from the event: Here are a few pictures from the weekend: https://www.flickr.com/groups/beamish/pool/23689245@N08/

Charawacky
Looking at the Albion you will notice the rather diminutive driver figure, he is in fact my 13 year old son. I hasten to add much as he could and would he was not driving, but posing for the picture.

I hasten to add, much as he could, and would, he was not actually driving, but posing for the picture.
