cucho ramone
Hi. Last month, I saw a thread about clubmobiles ... there is a picture posted by GoranWC51. Two traliers are clearly visible. Seeing more pictures of CCKW Clubmobiles I think I see the same trailer: According the info I have I think it's a generator. As far as I know the clubmobiles tried to use "local" power, but if not possible, they had generators, for the doughnuts machines and the music . I tried to indentify the model, but without success. Theorically, the generators used by the A.R.C. were British. (Actually, the GMC clubmobiles were manufactured in Great Britain in 1944) Can anyone give me a clue about the model?. May be a civil item? The A.R,C, had other trailers as the model showed below. The fenders and the wheels look similar. The same manufacturer? English is not my mother tongue so I can be really wrong, but I would say "petroleum spirit" is not an U.S. term. Again I see a British origin. Well, any help would be apprecited. cucho ramone
Well, I don't know if there will be light at the end, but I will try it. I think I found another picture, but it's rather frustrating. Not a clear image. General Matthew Ridgway in the presentation of Clubmobiles. I'm sure there are more pictures of the event. May be one with a good view? The problem will be find them . Cheers P.S. cucho ramone
Hi. One year later and I'm still trying to identify this generator. Not many new pictures. Only a couple. If anyone can give me any clue it would be great. Thank you Cheers
simon king
Hi. One year later and I'm still trying to identify this generator. If anyone can give me any clue it would be great. Thank you Cheers Could it be the repurposed generating set and trailer from an RAF Chance Light? see http://www.airfieldinformationexchange.org/community/showthread.php?1007-Chance-Light&
