Pzkpfw-e
No, not been a runner, probable not even when it was found at Sennelager. It's missing several road wheels on its left side. It's the mild-steel, V2 prototype. It was missing its gun too, the one that's "fitted", is just held inplace with a block of wood. The commander's cupola is also missing. As far as I know, it does have its internals, unlike the ex-Shrivenham example.
Niels v
The engine was taken from the Tiger II and fitted in the Tiger I (131) as the original engine from 131 was sectioned for display after the testing of 131. The Tiger II engine threw a rod through the side of the block while it was being test in 131 during the restoration, but a spare block was found. Pzkpfw-e
Here's the King Tiger "as found". As an aside, the JagdTiger also. It's mating with the Grille 17, I don't know if that ever made it as far as the UK before being scrapped.
