griff66
as some may know 069 batts are a good fitment for fscs however they are quite a bit smaller than batt boxes so to stop them moving around i got 4 freezer bags placed them at each end of batts filled them a third up with expanding foam and once cured stops batt moving around nicely ,look like little pillows for the old girl!also lined one side of batt box with heat reflecting tape to stop heat from gearbox getting to batts
Tony B
An added bonus to that. It helps insulate the battries in winter! What happens if acid leacks on it though? Worth checking just in case of a nasty unexpected reaction. You can buy speclalist battrey packing/insulation.
Topdog
Good idea mate, it will be a perfect fit. I was going to use cut bits of selotex but that has the foil over it. What do you use to insulate the top of the box against the battery terminals?

Lauren Child
What happens if acid leacks on it though? Worth checking just in case of a nasty unexpected reaction. You can buy speclalist battrey packing/insulation. Durite do a Chlorinated Rubber Paint that protects against acid spills - you might be able to paint the padding with that to seal them up.
