Joris
Who can tell me what type of tank this is? The picture was taken near Overloon in the Netherlands. (click on it for a bigger version) The request was made here, in Dutch:

Peter4456
With that big 'lump' on the back of the turret - a British Firefly?
jamie meachin
I think its a M4A3 sherman running gear. The turret seems to have a bigger than normal counter weight?
jamie meachin
I dont think it is a firefly because the way the turret is pointing, I would of thought you would see the barrel?
eddy8men
it looks like an m26 pershing.
Pzkpfw-e
I'm thinking it's a T17 Staghound. There are quite a few around Overloon. The only bit I'm a bit "!iffy" about, is the port on the turret's side.
ajmac
It's an M4A3 76mm surely? The rear plate looks like M4A3 or M4A2, but behind the chap on the left you can see the vertical support for the engine bay doors when they are opened, that was only fitted to M4A3s. Turret looks like a normal 76mm Sherman one to me. Edited January 28, 2013 by ajmac

Adrian Barrell
I was tempted to post earlier but thought I'd let it run, it's always interesting to see others opinions. The give away to me was the rear hinged filler cap on the centre line, only fitted on M4A3.
