andym
I really hope they've had a good chat with the RN Submarine Museum at Gosport about the perils of displaying submarine hulls outdoors. We learned the hard way with both Holland 1 and HMS Alliance. :-( Andy
Tony B
The Royal Dockyard at Chatham have Ocelot, the last boat built at Chatham in 1962. There has been a recent refit to celebrate her 50th Birthday. Not that I'm name dropping (Moi! Would I do that? ) But I filmed a piece to camera with Graham Lays the BBC Antique Road Show Militiari Expert with Katy, yesterday alongside HMS Gannet at Chatham. As a kid the O Boats used to excersise around the Channel Island's. You'd be out in St Aubin's Bay and this large black submarine would suddenly appear, then about ten minutes later just dissappear.
