Jack
Ok we popped down to the Tank Museum this afternoon seeing as not much was going on here and the BTM is only down the road from us. It has nothing to do with the fact that I wanted to have a look at the M5 Stuart that they have down there  it was more to get a family ticket so we can now go back at any time now for the next year for nothing!! Thinking behind this is that when at any time Jess and I are bored we can just jump in the Jimmy and drive down :-D I love the TM and have been going there since I was about 8 and could spend all day their, my problem is that I HAVE to read everything! It is always changing and the new touch screen display are pretty good but I think the shop is well over priced but understand why it is so. Jack
How much was the family ticket Jack :? If you are just going for the day it was around £26 but for free access for the rest of the year for the family it was £36 which I think everyone will agree is above and beyond an exceptional deal. martylee
This must be the perfect way to spend a family. I'll have to do a new visit to some of the war museums in Oslo one of these weekends. Thanks for inspiring me! And nice photos! Marty

fv1609
Haunted Hanomag?? :-o Perhaps it was a patient left over from when it used to be an ambulance 20 years ago? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/Germanamb.jpg[/img] Seems a shame that there aren't any ambulances there, guns & weapons seem to be more interesting? There used to be a Saracen ambulance out the back but I think that got chucked out, seems a shame that ambulances are regarded with such low esteem. Oh - I don't know - might mean that come June/July time a Samaritan would be a lot more affordable than - say - a Sultan??? ;-) ;-)

I only know of 3 Samaritans in private hands. There are a few more Sultans, but not that many. Any which Withams had and did not sell have been cut up now. fv1609
Blimey Clive that is an old one..........got any more? Somewhere I've got pics of the Saracen ambulance, but many thousands of pictures which are just unsorted. But found this, don't know if it's still there, probably isn't as it doesn't have a gun on it. But a prototype trainer is rare & worthy of display to my mind. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/216BXR.jpg[/img]

Marmite!!
What happened at last nights meeting??? You've got me curious now!! Not a lot, JT was volunteered on to the MV owners Sub-com.. & it looks like that the Fort has all the MV's it needs at the moment.. got to remember Neil that they have other events there that are not MV related & they need to have enough room so they can be stored out the way..
