This is a very interesting site, I love green paint on metal so its just about perfect, I live handy to the M50-M5 at Upton upon Severn, have had a Diamond T 980 and use a jeep as my dust cart to transport my garden doings to the local waste facility, I work as a Heavy Equipment mechanic, also working on trucks, I have worked for myself for 34 years mainly on CAT Cummins Gardner and so on, so nuff said best I take cover.

You really should make the effort and go to this event, this has got to be one of the best in the country.......... just clean all of that muck out of the back of your Jeep first.

Big ray and papav, my jeep is not realy a classic military motor, although its covered in " battle scars" it sort of looks the part, that is jeepish??? but its an M38A1 with the standard wheels removed and some fat fandango's poked on in place, it was cheeper for me to buy new wheel and tyre sets than lash out on those hard to find 700 size bits of rubber, I do even use the banger to go to work in sometimes, credit to it its managed 140mile round trips and always performed well, it always gets an amount of people looking at it when I park it in the local high street, if they are young bloods interested I give em a good tour of all its top bits, that is its shovel and convoy lights and get the bonnet up to point at the Carter carb, that is always good to impress em, funny thing is I bought a load of WW2 (I think) bombs the other day, (Totaly safe things) they are big old dogs sort of fork lift size things, perhapse someone local might be interested in a trade/swap.

back to my bunker. Fairbairn Sykes what a tag
