question motoroil is mixed with diesel

hey

 

so i have a bedford mj 4x4 which was leaking diesel

i opened the carter to release all the oil because on the checking stick it was so thin and smelling of diesel

so it came pouring out motoroil with alot of diesel mixed in it

 

anyone has an idear what might be wrong

all i know this isnt a good sign

I'd suspect the diesel lift pump as being the likliest culprit. A rebuild with new diaphragm should sort it out.
