diver99
Found this pic of me in the distance (with me hands on me hips, duty banksman). When I was in the T.A. 234 ADR on annual camp in Germany. The task was bigging a big hole. This was on the Kaiser range if I remember rightly. It was for the 'range' fire brigade to have a source of water in dry season. Loads of ordnance kept coming up. At the end of the week, rained so much, uncovered a 155mm shell we had been driving over and parking on. Nice big bang on the Friday. Zero-Five-Two
POMs at play!! Been there, done that, many years ago. Is the excavator one of the big 20 ton Hymacs that were normally used for tank ditching?
diver99
Used Volvo BM 4400 Wheeled Loader / digger for tank trenches. Or are you talking anti-tank? I was in an Airfield Damage Repair Unit.

Was talking Anti tank ditches, we used to use them or pairs of Dozers, one terex 82-30B and one Cat D6 working at 90 degress to each other in what was called the "T" push method. Happy days:-D
