Privateersman
Hi all, just to say hello. I'm new to Landrover Lightweights and new to this forum. I bought a 1969 Lightweight 2A over eBay recently. It was a winter project for the PO, so I have it as a going concern. As far as I can tell it is as per the original except it has a Fairy Overdrive, parabolic springs and Series 3 wings. I'm very keen to get involved in local shows, clubs etc. I am based near Ashford in Kent.
Topdog
Welcome to the forum. There are a few members locally and plenty of shows not too far away. Beltring, Detling and Headcorn to name 3. There will be folks on here who can answer most questions even though I dont know one end of a Landy from another......... Dave

Richard Farrant
Hi there. I am also from around Ashford, so no doubt we will pass each other somewhere :-). I know of a young guy who was working on a Lightweight in his garden, until recently and now it has gone, maybe the same one? Enjoy the forum. regards, Richard
Zero-Five-Two
It would appear that if you mention the words Kent and Land Rover in the same sentence you start a stampede, anyway welcome to the forum

ferretfixer
Hiya, wellcome to the forum of all knowledge! There are MANY owners here that are very expirienced & generous with advice & assistance if you need any. I also live in Ashford. I own a 'Few' Military vehicles myself & worked on HUNDEREDS of landrovers in Service before remustering at another trade. If you need to chat about anything, PM me & I will give you my number. Good luck, & wellcome aboard! Mike.
