Stableboy
Hey Mate, really need your advice for a serious problem: I have suspected for some time now that the missus has been cheating. The usual signs; Phone rings, if I answer the caller hangs up, going out with the girls a lot. I try to stay awake to look out for her when she comes home but I usually fall asleep. Anyway last night about midnight I hid in the shed behind the QL, when she came home she got out of someone's car buttoning her blouse, then she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on... It was at that moment crouched behind the QL I noticed... A "hairline crack" in the jerrycan mounting bracket... Is that something I can weld myself or do I need to replace it? ferretfixer
Yes, this is something that If left unchecked. Could pose a REALLY serious problem! The strain on the whole assembly if the bracket fails, could lead to a major catastrophy & Major expense to rectify!................:cool2:
N.O.S.
Aha - could this be the very rare Mk2 version of a similar vehicle documented on this very forum some back in 2007? HMVF's search engine worked - all I could remember was "dear susie" http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?6575-Why-Jack-should-be-a-Agony-Aunt&highlight=dear+susie

Enigma
Hey Mate, really need your advice for a serious problem:I have suspected for some time now that the missus has been cheating. It was at that moment crouched behind the QL I noticed... A "hairline crack" in the jerrycan mounting bracket... Is that something I can weld myself or do I need to replace it? I feel your dilemma. Had a leaking jerrycan once, had to put it upside down in the bracket.. I had someone solder it. Felt better after that. :-D
