andym
This is quite amusing, even if the article fails to realise it's all been done before: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11511886 I just hope those running the Strategic Defence Review aren't watching too closely! :cool2: Andy
mcspool
Could someone please call the BBC and point out this is one of Britain's greatest inventions! Or should I say illusions? steveo578
not much point in informing the BBC they are wrong -last week BBC Radio 4 reported that Sodium Cholide NaCl was bleach:wow: and that 50 minus 5% was 45:-X
ferretfixer
Unbeliveable! I was always under the impression that Russia had one of the Biggest Mechanised Armed forces in the world! I guess under the SALT agreements. They must have destroyed a huge number of Amoured Vehicles Etc. So, is this designed to represent the numbers that COULD be manufactured under times of War deployment. Or indeed simply as decoys to make the west Etc think that Russia has more military caperbilities that it actually does have? We already know what they actualy HAVE in Service, so this is a bit of a puzzle really!
Stone
They're very useful for targeting practice / simulated missions, too. There used to be a couple at Spadeadam (have a look on their website, most of their stuff's public) to represent threats we can't buy second-hand yet...
