corin
Hi my name is corin and reside in the fantastic hotbed of action it isn't, Swindon. I am principally a living history enthusiast being a member of our small but keen to expand group the French Army Re-enactment Group. We currently concentrate on the Indo China and Algerian conflicts immediately after ww2. If anyone's interested please contact me.

corin
Thanks Mark Is very encouraging to hear someone has noticed our group. We are a small friendly bunch who don't like to get too serious too often except on the stuff that matters. I will be following that link to take a look at your site to see what you guys get up to. Tony B
Welcome, does Swindon still have that joy of joys 'The Magic roundabout'? You are also near Wroughton then?

corin
It certainly does. I think it gets it's own calendar every year if you can believe that? You actually get used to it pretty quick. Either that or you get hurt pretty quick. And yes I am no distance from Wroughton at all. airportable
Hi and welcome to the forum, great to see so many reenactors joining. What a interesting era your doing. I also have friends in forces 80, my interest is British Army and kit of the same period, in particular signals. Will have a look at your site. Andy. corin
Thanks Andy , as i thought I had visited your groups site before, that shakedown event looked nippy. The choice of period came from Baz who originally posed me with the question of 'shall we start......?' to which i obviously said yes. He is an avid restorer and collecter of french post war jeeps and other vehicles. He is currently working on restoring a panhard AML60 armoured car with the help of of a second donor vehicle. I and my mate Jonas were attracted by the lack of representation of this period/ nation and the ease of getting original uniforms on a very manageable budget. Our stuff is all original and a fraction of the cost of most ww2 repro kit. Yup we're tightasses alright! Weapons on the other hand is a different story/cost. I used to be down Marlbourgh way :-D That was back in the days when they first came up with the 'Magic Roudabout. Diary note : Day three, made it to the centre, have we enough fuel to get to the other side?
