shatters Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Hi all, Are the door tops the same on a lightweight Landie as on a series or are they specific to the lightweight ? Many thanks Phil Quote
andrewroberts.1953 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Hi, same as all other series rovers. But you may need to bend the fixings to get the top to seal at the top. This is because LW doors are not exactly designed to be weather tight! Remember as well Land Rover chassis (and other bits) are built to + and - tollerance of 1/4 inche. Quote

agripper Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) If you can your hands on a set of teh early 90 and 110 dor tops which are all made of alloy and dont rust, also have sliding windows both the front and back. Mine came with these on and are so much better and look better to with teh slash angle of the windows, give it a go fast feel. Edited June 2, 2010 by agripper Quote

Angled opening windows also allow a bit more room for the patented Land Rover arm out the window driving position too. Both front a rear panes slide which gives better ventilation, although it's not rocket science to modify standard cheapo door tops to do the same. Quote
