In for a penny....

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

As I have just signed up to the forum I thought I'd better do a little intro for myself!

I don't own an MV - wife wouldn't let me - but have had a keen interest from a young age in all things military and mobile. Have utmost respect for those who put time and money into restoring anything historical - be it MV, aviation, marine or rail related - but I'd draw the line at an Iltis (no offence intended Snapper!). We need to keep history alive or our kids will all eventually end up all hooked up to a computer living in some virtual world... erm, mine do already...

Have been able to pursue my interests more extensively in recent years via those very nice people at CMV, and I've been able to tie it in with my main interest of photography. This gives me a legitimate excuse to leave the wife and kids for a weekend at a show and to spend our savings on camera kit!

Am looking forward to the imminent awesome madness and mayhem at Beltring so by all means say hi if you see me wandering about - I'm a few pounds overweight and will no doubt be further weighed down by camera gear most of the time. I might even ask (nicely) if I can take your piccy, so please be kind!

welcome zoomer,

i'm sure the wife will come round eventually, most do given time.

i am normally the first to book us into shows & then tell russ where we are going.

looking out for someone laden down with camera equipment at beltring may be a little difficult as every other person is laden down with camera equipment, but i'll look out all the same.

enjoy the site & welcome again

Cheers for the welcome, all.

Joris - I'll do my best - am new to this forum lark and no expert in uploading pix, so might stick some on my website instead. Most of my pix go to Pat Ware at CMV anyway, so I imagine/hope/pray some will appear in the mag in due course...
