Yours appears to have 3 stud wheels and I think that it would have been used by the fire service or another civil defence group. John. Hinrik_WD Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share Posted January 31, 2010 The top black and white photo shows what this very original GPW looked like when bought from the US Army in 1945. The trailer has been with it ever since then. Both the jeep and trailer have been sitting in a garage for the past 40 years. The trailer had so much junk on it, I was having difficulty taking pictures of it. The A.F.S. which I take it stands for Auxiliary Fire Service (?) would they be a part of a Garrison force, similar to the one sent to Iceland, 10th may 1940?
