  1. Ted Thanks for that A mate of mine bought one (A heavy unit minus pump) an early 7V with the 4 cylinder engine and it was in sliver I remember steering it back to his place near Huntingdon one Saturday morning behind his Land Rover...............Happy days I wonder what happened to it
  2. I remember in the yard at Molesworth there were several wartime AFS appliances (7Vs)mainly and they were painted silver

  7. Woodvale 2010, what a brilliant turn out of vehicles, well done to West Lancs MVT for the organisation Far better laid out this year and a fantastic selection of vehicles including three tanks!!!

Look forward to seeing you Martin, I think my old CS8 is going as well Agreed with the work the west Lancs have put in, I do hope they manage to top last years entry, I know there were issues in previous years but I thought the arrangements last year were very good Hope to see a lot of people there And yes they are letting me loose with the microphone again, you poor unsuspecting people :cool2::cool2:

As I said I will stand corrected.......................however the Explorer I had did not have the lever under the steering wheel but did have the valve on the dash and it did apply all the brakes. It was a very early example (I believe from the first batch) so was the arrangement changed later?

Always thought the lever on the dashboard was a hill holder, used to hold the vehicle on a hill to enable a smooth start, not always possible with a ratchet handbrake As always I stand to be corrected (just that the Explorer I had I couldnt work out why it wouldnt move (as if the brakes seized on) until some one told me about the valve
